Review of the Cannondale Synapse Carbon
The Cannondale Synapse features a geometry designed for long hours in the saddle. Its carbon frame effectively absorbs road bumps, and the tires clearance—already unusual for a road bike in 2006—is particularly generous on this model. After several years riding endurance bikes, the Synapse remains, in my opinion, one of the best choices. The goal of this type of bike is to offer maximum comfort over long distances without feeling like you’re riding a simple touring bike. And designing this type of machine is far from trivial. Yet, it is precisely what the majority of amateur cyclists are looking for.

Key findings
- The Synapse isn't just a race bike: it's an endurance bike designed for long, comfortable rides without sacrificing speed.
- The differences between generations are significant: a 2014 model and a 2022 model are fundamentally different ( tires, SmartSense integration, frame comfort).
- A refurbished model refurbished the logical choice here: the Synapse is built to last.
